Dr. Shokooh Miry

Dr. Shokooh Miry is a psychologist in San Francisco, California.
A UC Berkeley and Stanford University graduate, Dr. Miry completed her clinical training at Stanford Hospital and a fellowship at Duke University Medical Center specializing in evidence-based treatment for mood, anxiety, and eating disorders. Her research focused on chronic suicidality and self-harm — work she carried into direct service at Planned Parenthood with pregnant and at-risk teen girls and as director of clinical services at a large rape crisis center.
Dr. Miry currently serves as a mayoral appointee to the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women, overseeing gender equity analysis, identifies systemic inequities across city policy, and oversees a flagship grants program for the prevention and treatment of violence against women. She also serves on the board of the Alliance for Girls.
Rooted in San Francisco, Dr. Miry brings to California Women's List a career built at the intersection of clinical science, mental health, and women’s leadership.
