Zahra Hajee

Vice President of California Women’s List

Zahra Hajee currently serves as Communications Deputy for Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath and previously worked for U.S. Senator Alex Padilla. Informed by her own experience sharing her story, she is also an advocate for survivors of gender-based violence.

With a background in community and electoral organizing, Zahra serves as President of the Asian Democrats of Los Angeles County-one of the largest regional PACs focused on building AAPI electoral representation. She also serves as a Board Member of the California Democratic Party AAPI Caucus and Stonewall Young Democrats. Across these roles, Zahra is committed to elevating young leaders and expanding representation for marginalized communities.

She is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Psychobiology and an alumna of the Southern California Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs.
